Free Palestine is a cult, no different than murderous far-left cults of decades past - Manson Family, Jim Jones’ Peoples Temple. As before so-called progressives support and tolerate this cult, because their deluded, ignorant and hateful children are part of the cult. As before it’s already escalated well past ostracizing those who aren’t in the cult to serious violence and terrorism. There is nothing historically “kind” or “human rights loving” in the far-left and their progressive fellow travelers, nor is there now. These people are dangerous.
This reminds me of when I found out that the People's Temple (Jim Jones' cult whose members all died by drinking cyanide) began as a "social justice" movement, where he exploited Black suffering under Jim Crow to grow his following and credibility. Jonestown (their settlement in Guyana) was marketed as a "socialist paradise". I've always wondered how many modern "leftists" would fall for the same exact rhetoric. Seeing what their movement has become, I guess I no longer have to wonder.
im no where near as good as a wordsmith as you so please bare with me — i think it’s quite sad how so many teens have been essentially brainwashed into becoming anti semetic even unknowingly, now of course so many pro palis are anti semetic but i mourn the younger ones who have essentially been forced into this strong palestine only belief and have no idea of the truth or any sense of what reality is but rather they listen to the propaganda of anti-semitites disguised as pro palis. when you look at other activist movements like the freedom of people in congo, the ukraine war, etc — it can be peaceful of course sometimes violent, but take a look at palestine vs israel? it’s inhumane the treatment of israelis , i’ve seen posts saying if you live in israel you deserve to be slaughtered, if you’re a zionist you should be exciled. when 97% of jews are zionist! and the fact that some jews will betray their own kind just to win brownie points of people who would spit on them if they were out in public. i think the point of “an anti semite won’t ask you if you’re a zionist before they kill you” to non jews you will always be just a jew. and the sad fact is there may be so many teens who would be pro israel if they weren’t anti zionist , so many people who may have converted or even found a jewish lover / friend who they cherished so deeply but now that’s very unlikely. as well, the people who say “im not anti semetic just anti israel” are clearly so stupid it makes me so angry i find myself unable to sleep some nights due to my fury, they can hide behind the word ‘zionist’ when they really mean ‘jew’ of course im not trying to excuse it but atleast some people do have the balls to say ‘jew’ rather than hide behind a mirage of anti israel. but i agree completely with what you say, so many teens are using this as some form of identity and it’s heartbreaking to see, adults too. regardless of age, it makes me sick to see so many people so uneducated falling for propaganda when they themselves say “i don’t know how people fell for anti jew propaganda in the 1940’s , it’s clearly ridiculous “ like babe, the call is coming from inside the house. but it just shows how anti semitism will continue to exist due to merely propaganda. it’s gone from us drinking the blood of christian babies, to controlling hollywood, to now being the perpetrators of genocide. the stupidity of some people will never fail to shock me
I agree, it’s incredibly heartbreaking. I think you touch on a super important point: sometimes people don’t know what they’re supporting. Are many anti-zionists knowingly antisemitic and hiding behind the word ‘zionist’? Yes! But how many of these people were just teenagers falling down the wrong algorithm rabbit hole? It’s the problem that arises when equating social justice movements to “coolness” (social currency). It waters down very complex and important issues into a mere trend or sports game. I really hope this correlation will be analyzed in the future, and it’s a shame we have to learn about it at our own expense.
i agree 100%, i often think how in the future people will look back and think “shit, we were wrong” as the truth always does come out. at the minute their only experience with israel/palestine is what their being fed by the media, some of them may have even never met a jew. some of my friends were in shock i supported israel but after a conversation with them they did end up putting their hands up and are now either neutral or pro-israel. i believe, or atleast i hope — as people grow up and have the ability to meet new people and travel the world , they’ll hopefully meet jewish people or even non jews who are just strong strong allies who happen to be educated on the subject and that they’ll eventually be able to be properly educated on the subject. there’s an account on tiktok i believe it’s called ”StopAntiSemitism” they interview pro pali people and they sometimes manage to get the truth through to them and its interesting to see how even just a five minute conversation can completely shift someone’s view. some people are too far gone, but i think there’s still hope for some.
Every time I see a raging, blue haired, pierced to the nines crowd of “anti-zios” I feel bad. Clearly these people have never been part of an organized community before. All they are craving is connection, singing, and meaning in their lives. You know, a Jewish sleep away camp. Nebach.

exactly! they only know “community” through collective opposition imo

Wait, I know why.
